At Fast Track Breaking, we offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of your horse. With years of experience and a deep understanding of equine behavior, we provide the highest quality care and training in a safe and nurturing environment.
Breaking in
We are a small dedicated team that believes that it’s paramount that young horses are relaxed throughout the staring process. All horses that leave Fast Track have a sound understanding of basic aids in all gaits, working in straight lines and circles, can be ridden happily with or without other horses, go around the race track and through the barriers.
At Fast Track we are dedicated to make the horses stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Our expert horse trainer will ensure the horses stay in excellent overall condition, being feed quality hard feed and premium hay.
Our horse educator Ben is very careful with young horse’s mouths and allows the horse to accept the bit in its own time.
Horses normally take from 6 to 8 weeks to be educated. All horses can be loaded on a float/truck be able to pick their feet up for the farrier or any other request. The program includes feeding twice daily, stabled, rugged, groomed and worked daily, Ben is happy to assist in any other requests.
In some situations, we’d like to give the sale yearlings one to two weeks rest before starting their journey giving them time to recover after their sale prep and getting them familiar with their new surroundings.
The length of your horse’s time with Fast track will depend on their maturity and level of strengths. Some horses will react well and be ready for their chosen event /careers within the first 4-6 weeks others may take a little longer. When your horse leaves, they will be ready to run!
Pre Training
Our key focus will be developing the skills and fitness with your athlete as speed is one of the most important aspects of any great race horse. Such as, gaining more residual fitness on the track or the swimming pool for rehab work, refreshing barrier skills, hill work for muscle development, dressage work to teach corrective actions this will build their confidence, flexibility, understanding and athleticism.
Ben has years of experience with riding young horses on the track and dressage riding this will allow your horse the best opportunity to expand their skills for the racing world. We can also custom a program that works for you.

Our team communicate the necessary information for the proper development of the horse’s Performance & Health. It is important to Ben and his team to maintain a close relationship with all trainers and or owners.
We endeavour to send photos or voice recordings to owners to keep them informed of the progress and fitness of their horses.
